Villagers of Kintry
As told by Rex
Is this really it? This is not a cabin, it's nothing but firewood and a few broken windows. They've made fools of us. If we stay we'll have to do something drastic to make this livable and renegotiate the taxes. At least the locals seem to need our help, it should be possible to make a living, to survive. And surviving is our best path forward until things north in Anstice settle down a bit. On the upside it is nice to be together with my family again. I have truly missed their company.
He may talk big but Takas truly has the heart of a lion protecting the ones that need help, even if it has gotten us a bit of trouble again. However, there are few others I would rather be in trouble with. Riding on top of this big werewolf that Takas took down by himself I smile at the fact that our lives are so different now. Hopefully the villagers of the Kintry will compensate us even if we didn’t retrieve all the sheep. And that poor kid was bitten.
I do wonder what these jewels are. I will keep them for later and away from Feathers. We're not destitute so it is better to investigate these stones a bit further before sharing them. Besides we have more pressing problems. Takas is bruised from the fight and it seems to be a bite that will, if we don’t cure him, turn him into a werewolf. The Order of the Silver Flame told us about a flower growing in the mountains north of here that is needed for this, his cure. We'll have to start figuring this out, I do not want to lose a brother.
